Degree Program in Philology & Translation
In addition to general language instruction, the department has offered a specialized Bachelor's degree in Philology (035.041: Germanic Languages and Literatures, including Translation; Major — English, Minor — German) since 2004. The curriculum focuses on scientific and technical translation, complemented by practical internships with leading local enterprises, regional government administration, and partner organizations. Graduates enjoy pathways to Master's programs across Europe via the ECTS framework or advanced studies in fields like Management, Project Management, and Intellectual Property.
Research & Academic Engagement
Students from all university departments are encouraged to engage in academic activities, competitions, and conferences. Each year, the department hosts the "Translation" and "Foreign Languages" sessions at the annual student conference "Young Academy," giving students an open platform to present their work in English.
Faculty & Research Strengths
Our faculty members are active researchers under the department's research framework, “Theoretical Concepts and Practical Implementation of Linguistic Research in Intercultural Communication.” The team regularly publishes textbooks, monographs, and research papers in leading Ukrainian and international journals.
